Protection of personal data and confidentiality

As part of your registration on the Applicant Page of the website https://joinus.canalplus.com and your application for job offers from GROUPE CANAL + and its subsidiaries, you are required to provide Groupe CANAL+ (Simplified joint-stock company registered with the Nanterre Trade and Companies Register under number 420 624 777, 50 rue Camille Desmoulins – 92130 92863 Issy-les-Moulineaux Cedex 9, France.) and its subsidiaries with your personal data.

If you conduct a video interview on the site or application of our partner iCIMS, you are also required to provide personal data about yourself to GROUPE CANAL+ and its subsidiaries.

The purpose of this policy is to inform you of the conditions under which your data is processed by GROUPE CANAL+ and its subsidiaries.

1. Purposes and legal basis

The processing of your personal data is necessary for the consideration and examination of your application, and is carried out in accordance with the regulations applicable to the protection of personal data, in particular Law No 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of data ('GDPR'), and any other French or European text relating to the protection of personal data which may supplement or modify them (hereinafter the 'Applicable Regulations').

Your personal data is processed for the purposes of managing job applications and recruitment:

• Search and identification of relevant profiles via our recruitment site, the sites on which our offers are published, recruitment firms, and professional events at which we are present.

• Processing of applications: reception, sorting, recording and ranking.

• Contacting and assessing the candidate's abilities to carry out the job offered with regard to his/her career path and professional experience.

• Establishment of a library of CVs ('CV library') allowing us to contact you in the event of a new offer that may correspond to your profile.

The purpose of your video interview is to allow GROUPE CANAL+ to analyse your application for a job offer and assess your skills as part of the recruitment process.

This processing has the following legal bases:

• Search and identification of relevant profiles: legitimate interest

• Processing of applications: pre-contractual measure

• Contacting and assessing the candidate's abilities to carry out the job: legitimate interest

• Establishment of a CV library:

• If you voluntarily provide us with your CV (during a professional event, or in the context of a spontaneous application): consent

• If, at the end of a recruitment process, we wish to keep your profile in our CV library in order to be able to inform you of new opportunities: legitimate interest, it being understood that you can oppose this retention under the conditions defined in paragraph 5.

In the event that you are recruited by GROUPE CANAL+ or one of its subsidiaries, your data will be subject to further processing for the purposes of managing the job held and your career.

2. Data collected

Any data that directly or indirectly identifies a natural person constitutes Personal Data. GROUPE CANAL+ processes the following personal data in particular:

• Identification data (surname, first name, email, telephone, country of residence),

• Data relating to professional career (CV, education/training, professional experience, skills),

• Cover letter,

• Type of position sought,

• Your image and voice captured in the case of a video interview,

• Assessment of your skills and competencies which may include conducting a case study depending on the position to be filled,

• Reference from previous employers subject to your prior consent.

Your personal data may be collected directly by GROUPE CANAL+ or one of its subsidiaries or indirectly via our partners (recruitment firms, sites publishing job offers and allowing contact with our Group).

Whether the provision of your personal information is mandatory or optional will be indicated to you at the time of collection by an asterisk or equivalent means. If the mandatory information is not completed, your application will not be processed.

If your application involves conducting a video interview, this interview is mandatory for the consideration of your application. If the video interview is not completed, your application will not be accepted.

To simplify communication and avoid displacement, your interview may take place with the help of a videoconferencing tool. The interview will not be recorded without your prior consent.

3. Data recipients

Your personal data is intended for GROUPE CANAL+, its subsidiaries, and its subcontractors in compliance with the applicable regulations.

As part of video interviews, your data is processed by our subcontractor iCIMS. Access to the website or application operated by iCIMS is subject to iCIMS' terms of use.

Personal data may also be disclosed to public authorities, legal auxiliaries, or judicial officers to comply with any applicable law or regulation that GROUPE CANAL+ or its subsidiaries are required to respond to (judicial or administrative request).

The candidate’s personal data may be transferred to and processed by technical service providers located outside the European Union. These transfers are carried out in strict compliance with the protection conditions set out in the applicable regulations.

In the absence of a European Commission decision recognizing the recipient country of your data as having an adequate level of protection, we take appropriate measures with our partners and subcontractors involved to ensure that they provide an adequate level of protection and implement technical and organizational security measures to safeguard personal data (including signing the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses).

You may obtain a copy of the provisions put in place to allow the transfer of your data outside the European Union upon request, using the contact details provided in Section 6 below. In accordance with the applicable regulations and to respect trade secrecy and confidentiality obligations, certain information may be redacted. This copy may also take the form of a summary of the measures implemented to facilitate the transfer of your data.

4. Retention period

Your candidate account will be deleted after a period of 6 months from your last activity on your account.

If you apply for a job offer, your personal data will be retained for the duration of the application review process and for a period of two years from the date of your application.

Your video interview will be kept for a maximum period of 6 months.

If you are hired, your data will be retained in accordance with the data retention policy of the subsidiary where you will be employed.

5. Individuals' rights

Under the conditions set out in the applicable regulations, you may exercise your rights (access, rectification, deletion, objection, restriction of processing, and data portability) regarding your personal data or withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the Data Protection Officer at drh-das@canal-plus.com, providing proof of your identity.

If you no longer wish to be part of our CV database, you can delete your candidate account directly from your account under the section "Search Options and Privacy" and then "Data Privacy Statement."

You may also define instructions regarding the retention, deletion, and disclosure of your personal data to third parties in the event of your death.

You have the right to file a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL).
